Over the Memorial Day weekend, the singer threw a small holiday barbecue at her new Hollywood Hills home and extended an olive branch, inviting none other than her ex-ex-boyfriend John Mayer.

two months after their breakup #2, John’s appearance at her party
indicates the two are back to possibly reconciling their romance again
because after all, third time’s a charm?
“They seem to be back together, or back together-ish,” an eyewitness at the party told Us Weekly. “They were very flirty and having a really good time together. They have good chemistry.”
A second observer at the bash added, “They were definitely friendly.”
If
you put your ear up close to your computer screens you can hear a
faint, but assertive “UUGGGHGHHHHH” ringing out in a collective groan
from here to Santa Monica.
However, another source close to Katy tells CT9to save your breath and rest easy because “they are definitely not getting back together.”
As for tolerating one another in the same room, perhaps these two just needed some space away from each other to gain perspective on their issues. As of right now they’ve put it behind them (or at least to the side) to have a summer party with mutual friends Allison Williams of “Girls,” her boyfriend and College Humor creator Ricky Van Veen, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and others.
