Why Chris Brown Could Face Jail Time

While you were relaxing this Memorial Day weekend, someone named Chris Brown wasn’t exactly putting his feet up and unwinding like the rest of us.
Reason #503 that Chris could be falling out of good graces with society: a potential hit-and-run last week.
After what was your average fender bender, TMZ has learned that the LAPD is investigating the singer after he allegedly refused to divulge his driver’s license number to the driver he rear-ended.

Apparently when the woman whose car he struck pushed him for his identification, Chris got a bit self-righteous and entitled about the whole situation, which wouldn’t be the first time he’s displayed such arrogance after hitting someone.
The scope of this situation should concern Chris because this police investigation could mean an eventual violation, which could put him in prison. Because there’s this little detail called “obeying all laws” while on probation and leaving the scene of a car accident without fully disclosing information required by law would be breaking one.
All the LAPD wants to do at this stage is simply talk with Chris to clear up the details. We will keep you posted if anything new develops.
