After the New York Times published an open letter from Dylan Farrow last month reviving allegations that her adopted father, Woody Allen sexually assaulted her as a child, Lena Dunham described the letter on Twitter as being "courageous, powerful and generous."
She's now sharing more of her thoughts on the controversy in a new
podcast -- saying that while she's "disgusted" with Allen's alleged
behavior, she also chooses to view his career separately from his
personal life.
In an episode of comedian Marc Maron's WTF podcast that premiered Monday, the "Girls" creator and star declared: "In the latest Woody Allen debate I'm decidedly pro-Dylan Farrow and decidedly disgusted with Woody Allen's behavior."

However, she added: "I'm not going to indict the work. I think that you can decide that you don't want to support the work of somebody who has molested a child. That's a completely appropriate choice."
Investigators looked into the molestation claims at the time they were made, but prosecutors elected not to charge Allen. He has always maintained that he never molested Farrow.
"The thing is to look at the actual evidence that exists in the world, which I think strongly suggests that Woody Allen is in the wrong. But for me, the point is not to go through his one-act plays looking for references to child molestation. Because I'm not comfortable living in a world where art is part of how we convict people of crimes," said Dunham.
She also said she hasn't had a desire to watch Allen's movies in a long time, partly because of his personal situation and partly because she believes his recent work has been "really bad."

However, when Maron pointed out there have been many bad people who have created great work, Dunham agreed.
