Nick Lachey: Joe Simpson Played Grab A$$ with Me

Who knew Nick Lachey gave such a good interview? Like “I Do (Cherish You)” good?
Or who knew 98 Degrees had even reunited like, 12 days ago (no one at our local Tower Records gave us the update)?
Nick was particularly forthcoming during “Watch What Happens Live” on various topics, answering harder-hitting questions than “Is this chicken or tuna?” For the most part he dished exclusively about the Simpsons and it reminded us how much we missed the never-Emmy Award winning “Newlyweds” series.
We’ll just get to it and give you a laundry list of all the wrinkled matters of the past he aired out on live television. There were some good sound bites to chew on here…

On the last time he spoke to his ex-wife Jessica Simpson: “Uhhh, it’s been years, honestly. Yeah, years. Probably, honestly, six years.”
On seeing her all over magazines, TV and billboards: “Not at all it was like another lifetime ago.”
On rewatching the “Newlyweds” series: “I have not. As you can imagine it is not popular viewing in my house. We do not sit around as a family and watch the DVDs.”
On the best part about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law anymore/the best quote to rule all Nick Lachey quotes: “The best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law is I don’t have to play grab a$$ under the table on Easter Sunday.”
Apparently, that’s just a fraction of the benefits. Before Nick answered, his brother Drew Lachey chimed in: “Everything!”
