Kelly Osbourne: How I Got Skinny

Kelly Osbourne is the new poster child for newfound self-esteem, self-motivation, and a magazine called Self.

On its cover, the "Fashion Police" commentator shows off her latest body of work: her slimmer body.

Kelly reveals that it was a lot of work too—four years in the making to shed a total of 70 pounds.

Part of that was accepting herself and creating a new personal definition of body image. "[I figured] out there is no such thing as perfection," Kelly said. "If I had known that earlier, I wouldn't have been such a f**k up."

"The only thing I can be is me," she added. "I'm not perfect. I make mistakes. And my body is not perfect, either, but I love it."

You go, Kelly!

As for her workout and nutrition regimen, Kelly shared that she does a minimum of 30-minute cardio routines and then "whatever else I feel like that day—weights, yoga, Pilates." Also having a vegan chef boyfriend doesn't hurt either, but don't tell Kelly that.

"Everyone is like 'Kelly lost weight because of her vegan boyfriend,'" she said with an eye roll you could hear through the page. "Shut up. It's because I'm happy. And he is not even vegan."

For the most part, losing the weight was all psychological. Kelly reframes everything about exercising to basically trick herself into working out with enough practical advice to fill out a go-to workout guidebook for real women (hear that, Kelly's agent?).

"I put on ridiculous outfits and hula-hoop and dance when everyone else is at 'da club,'" she said of how she keeps exercising fun.

"I dress up for the gym," she added. "That way, when you look in the mirror you're like 'Oh, I look cute,' not 'Get me out of here.'"
