Or as her French fiancé Olivier Martinez would say, a garçon, which already sounds cooler than most of the 4 million boring American babies born every year.
The actress confirmed the news last Friday that she and Olivier would be welcoming their first child together (Halle's second) this year.
"I feel fantastic," Halle told CNN. "This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth."
Like the rest of you who were immediately Googling the actress' age upon hearing the news, this was the last thing the 46-year-old was expecting.
"Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me," she added. "So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."
Don't count on Halle to be slowing her career down anytime soon—at least in the humanitarian department. She's involved with the World Food Programme charity and wants to continue raising awareness for its causes in 2013.
"I hope we go while I'm pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care," she told the Associated Press of her plans for the coming nine months.
"And I will have time off…I'm not working right now," Halle said. The only film on her IMDb page's horizon is X-Men: Days of Future Past which is currently in pre-production.
"It's so important to me, being a mom, that I can help educate women on how important it is that when you have a healthy child, it helps set them up for life."
