Paul Walker’s The Fast and the Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson visited the crash site of his close friend less than 24 hours after news broke of his death.
Heartbroken, the actor visited a makeshift memorial that was created over the weekend, breaking down in tears as he laid a flower at the scene. He didn't say anything to the assembled fans and media outlets. He just showed up, paid his tearful respects, and left.
TMZ has video from that heart-wrenching moment:
“My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don’t understand,” Tyrese initially wrote in response to the confirmation of Paul’s passing.
His stunned disbelief continued, adding, “My heart hurts it’s broken no one can convince me this is real…”
Upon visiting the site, Tyrese also took a part of the wreckage with him, sharing a photo of the unidentifiable shards in his hand:
Before visiting the memorial, Tyrese also shared their last text message exchange, just two days before the fatal crash:

To remember his friend, Tyrese shared a personal video from happier times—a surprise cake being presented to Paul for his 40th birthday on September 12th:
