There’s a petition that has quickly been making the rounds online and it is demanding that Beyoncé not attend Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding. The reason? Because homegirl is just too good for that.
The petition was created on Change.org by a devoted fan who ultimately turned out to be a prankster (more on that in a second), gathering strong reactions from the 350+ people who signed it pledging their support.
Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z is especially close with Kanye and is therefore expected to attend his upcoming nuptials (there are already rumors that Jay-Z will serve as best man). She even extended a congratulatory message on her Tumblr to Kim a couple of days after she gave birth to North West. “Congratulations Kim & Kanye, enjoy this beautiful moment together,” it read.
Despite the fact that the petition turned out to be a prank, it hasn’t kept supporters from weighing in on the possibility that Beyoncé steer clear of the event, even offering up excuses that she could give to get her name off the guest list.
But it was a dubious effort apparently.
“It was a joke!!!” the petition announced over the weekend. “I don’t care if Bey goes or not - she’s a grown woman.”
