Selena Gomez Misses Russian Gigs over Gay Rights

Selena Gomez had no choice but to cancel two concerts in Russia after the country’s immigration officials denied her a work visa to enter its borders.

It’s all part of the nation’s legislation against LGBT individuals, which bans the “propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations.” Selena is seen, in their eyes, as such propaganda.
She was originally scheduled to perform this coming Monday and Wednesday, in St. Petersburg and Moscow, respectively.
The law has sparked global outrage from human rights campaigns and much of the entertainment community. After Madonna and Lady Gaga used their Russian concerts to speak out against the country’s anti-gay laws and stand up for their large LGBT fanbase, Russia is becoming even more strict in their visa approval process.
Selena hasn't spoken out yet on the news.
