Michael Douglas Oral Sex Claim Torpedoed Marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, Source Claims

Michael Douglas' nearly 13-year marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones "went downhill" immediately after his HPV admission, according to a new report

The 68-year-old actor claimed that his throat cancer may have been derived from contracting the sexually transmitted disease via giving oral sex.

His wife was reportedly not pleased, to say the absolutely least.

"It all went downhill from there," a source told The Sun (UK).

Oral sex or not, their mutual health issues have been widely blamed for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' separation, which they just announced.

Zeta-Jones suffers from bipolar disorder and most recently checked into rehab for depression in May. Douglas has fought a long battle with throat cancer.

The couple's health problems led to other issues, as well.

Supposedly the media circus and "stress has taken a toll on their relationship" and insiders say the couple have lost touch with each other entirely.

Whatever the reason, a representative for the couple confirmed now that they are "taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage."

Zeta-Jones, 43, and Douglas were introduced in 1998 and married in late 2000, They share two young children together, Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.

E! Online reports Douglas is still preparing to attend the Deauville American Film Festival this weekend, his first event since announcing his separation.
