The 31-year-old Duchess stunned in—what else?—a Jenny Packham dress bedazzled in sequins running the entire length of the gown. A stunner. Literally.
It was one of Kate’s first high-profile events since giving birth to baby George Alexander Louis. She accompanied her husband Prince William
to a charity event close to his heart, the inaugural Tusk Conservation
Awards, which is an extension of his charity focused on preserving the
wildlife of Africa.
“As
you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud
parents…of a baby who has a voice to match any lion’s roar!” William
proclaimed, by way of a SUPER DAD-ish joke that presumably took him all
day to write.
The event marked the couple’s first evening out without their son by their side, so he forewarned everyone “please excuse us if you see us nervously casting cheeky glances at our mobile phones to check all is well back home.” (Babies: A good excuse to use if you want to play Candy Crush at a formal engagement.)
