The pop star turned the glam rock way, way, way down for her best friend’s wedding, rocking a total 180-degree make-under as a bridesmaid.
That’s
right, a bridesmaid gown—the definition of borderline-intentionally
unfortunate-looking and whacky—which would’ve put Gaga right in her
element, which makes this all the more unexpected.
The
singer has been on leave for most of the year so far following hip
surgery, only to resurface in Mexico over the weekend looking
practically unrecognizable.
Instead of a dress made out of tortilla chips or a sombrero constructed out of Komodo dragon skin, Gaga found herself in a simple champagne colored dress with a low-cut neckline and tied at the waist to create an inoffensive empire silhouette.
Gaga was honoring one of her best friends from high school. The two have known each other since Gaga’s more humble beginnings, so it makes sense that she’d return to her roots in appearance for her BFF’s big day.
