Miley Cyrus: I’m a Party Animal

Have you heard Miley Cyrus’ new song “We Can’t Stop”—her first real single since 2010’s “Can’t Be Tamed”?
If not and you just want the one-sheet SparkNotes version, it’s a Mike WiLL Made It-produced track that references cocaine, strip clubs and either dancing your crop tops off on molly/Miley.
Following its premiere, Miley reflected on her reinvented image to MTV’s cameras (MTV’s cameras are like pop culture’s CIA, they’re always watching) to make this bold confession: “People think of me as a party animal, which I am—a self-proclaimed party animal.”

All right, tell us something we don’t know, Miley.
“We Can’t Stop” is definitely a statement of her newfound frame of mind—a more mature “Party In The USA” that celebrates an affinity for staying out all night, but more importantly, not caring what anyone else thinks either.
“The biggest thing people say to me is, ‘I love that you don’t care what people think,’” she said, “’cause I don’t. But in the best way possible. I can take all the constructive criticism in the world…of course, I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day, I make music for me. I make music because I love it and I put good energy into it, so it will be all good.”
