Sridevi says acting was never a career choice

Sridevi, who has worked on the silver screen in over 200 movies, says that she never chose acting as a career. The 49-year-old made a comeback in 2012 with Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish and says that she is not brand specific and loves saris the most.
The actress, who came in the capital for the inauguration of an exhibition, was noticed in an anarkali suit designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She talks about her sari fascination, "Well, definitely I love good brands, but at the same time I am not obsessed with them. I go for anything as long as it looks good on me. I am definitely someone who prefers Indian clothes especially saris".

Sridevi shared that Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi are her favourite designers. She informed about her life that she came to Chennai only for studies but once she got into the film line, the projects lined up after her.
When asked about how it all happened, the actress quoted, "When I was child, I got the offer from Sando Chinnappa Thevar and then things starting falling into my lap. I was the busiest child star doing three shifts a day. Then I became heroine, when I was 11 years and since then, there has bee no looking back.“
