Mindy McCready buried in Florida after 9 days

Country singer Mindy McCready committed suicide on February, 17 by shooting herself. The neighbours had called the Sheriff's Office of Cleburne County, Arkansas when they heard some gunshots. McCready was found dead on her front porch, the same place where David Wilson, her former boyfriend and the father of her younger son, had killed himself one month earlier. Mindy’s family held her funeral in her hometown of Ft. Myers here.
At the funeral service a very large photograph was placed on the stage and white roses decorated her casket. Her mother Gayle Inge spoke to the 400 mourners present at the funeral service, "Mindy adored her two children. She wanted them to know that. Through much agony and pain, she went to heaven. She is no longer sick. She is healed. Thank you for all who are here. Please pray for those boys. No matter what, she will always be my little girl, sitting in her car seat, singing into a hairbrush. The world was her stage."
McCready's four studio albums comprising twelve singles made it to the Billboard country singles charts. Guys Do It All the Time was a huge hit. Her last single I’m Still Here was released in March 2010. A second memorial service for her professional colleagues so that they could attend is slated to take place in Nashville in early March.
