The model-turned-actress owes this preference to the fact that she grew up in Delhi. “She especially likes to wear clothes by Delhi designers to important occasions. Esha herself belongs to the city and through this gesture she wants to support creativity coming out of the national capital. It’s also a way of thanking her friends,” says a source close to her.
Interestingly, some of the designers are her close pals with whom she has developed a rapport. No wonder she wears their work to most of the award functions as well. “She feels that Delhi designers produces clothes very contemporary while maintaining an ethnic touch,” adds the source.
However, the actress loves to experiment too every now and then. “Over the years, she has been trying out new designs, be it sarees or dresses and she is open to other designers as well,” sums up the informer.
