Brad Pitt is going to regret his latest Esquire interview so much. While the rest of the blogosphere was hung up that Brad was talking about gasp DRUGS, everyone overlooked the fact that Brad basically admitted in the interview that his life was pointless until he met Angelina Jolie.
You hear that? That’s the sound of Jennifer Aniston's publicist screaming into an iPhone.
Brad didn’t intend to hurt Jen in the interview, but he describes his years spent “f*cking off” which he says happened about a decade ago, putting it about two years before he and Jen got divorced.
Brad describes this “f*cking around” period as smoking a lot of weed and being ”burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity.”
While still married to Jen, Brad says he made a “conscious change. It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities. It was a feeling of, ‘Get up,’ because otherwise, what’s the point?”
What are these “opportunities” he was referring to? Acting roles? Other women? And why did he need to “get up” and where was Jen this whole time?
If you ask his longtime makeup artist, Brad was searching for something he didn’t know he wanted and unfortunately for Jen, it was everything that Angelina Jolie possessed.
“I think Brad was ready to soar when he met Angie. This is not to say anything negative about Jennifer. But in Angie, he saw a very adventurous person who was grabbing onto life and taking it to it’s nth degree. It was intriguing as I felt Brad had that in him and wanted to unleash it,” says makeup artist Jean Black.
Just like the last time that Brad accidentally called Jen “uninteresting,” Brad’s probably going to have to do a Matt Lauer interview and apologize profusely for unintentionally implying that his marriage to Jen was boring.
