UK Celebs We’ve Never Heard of, But Who Are Apparently Very Famous

Have you ever browsed a UK tabloid and wondered why you haven’t heard of ANY of their celebrities? Yeah, us too.
Contrary to popular belief, famous people don’t ONLY come from Hollywood. WHAT! OMG! NO WAY!
YES! The UK has its own set of SUPER FAMOUS faces that we’ve literally never heard of. Using only the power of the Internet…bare with us, a lowly American entertainment news site, as we attempt to understand 18 of (who we think might be) the most famous people ACROSS THE POND.
Remember, this is a list of Brit celebrities that American's have never heard of. We don't need readers up in arms over why we forgot to include Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston. Yes, we know they are VERY FAMOUS and VERY BRITISH.

Sam Bailey

Sam is the winner of “The X Factor” for 2013, which makes her about as famous as last year’s winner of “The X Factor” in the US, who was…ummm.

Nick is a radio host, or “presenter,” as they are called in the UK. He’s also BFFs with Harry Styles. We guess he’s like, the Ryan Seacrest of the UK.

Gemma is an actress and has been in US films like Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and most recently with Ben Affleck in Runner, Runner. We don’t know why we haven’t heard of her.

Kelly Brook is a “personality.” She was a presenter on one show back in 2005 and since then she appears to have become a Kim Kardashian-esque figure.

She’s on a reality show called “The Only Way Is Essex,” which we’ve gathered is like a “Real Housewives”-type show. She’s currently pregnant, which is apparently a huge deal for her fans, so we’re guessing she’s like a Snooki?

Ferne is also on “The Only Way Is Essex” and she's pretty much only famous BECAUSE of the show. So she’s like Kim Richards on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

Good grief, another star of “The Only Way Is Essex.” He’s popular because he cheated on one cast member with another cast member. So he’s like Jax on “Vanderpump Rules.”

Ashley is a reality star from the show “Made in Chelsea,” which seems like “The Hills.” However, she’s also a presenter, which appears to make up 90% of the UK’s celebrity occupations. So, she’s like Kristin Cavallari…

Another…wait for it…PRESENTER. Her most famous presenting gig was on the reality show, “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! NOW!” She’s literally been a presenter on every show in the UK since 2008. She seems like a Maria Menounos-type.
