“The Hills” are alive with the sound of wedding bells.
Lauren Conrad made the happy announcement on her blog yesterday, writing: “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process.”
She also shared a photo of her engagement ring, adding, “William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes. Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment.”
For those who tuned out of everything “Hills”-related since its final episode in 2010, Lauren started to date her fiancé William Tell in 2012; he’s a USC law student who used to be a guitarist in the Orange County band Something Corporate.
“Everyone is so happy for her. He’s such a great guy. They are perfect for each other!” a source told People magazine, echoing the same sweet sentiments Lauren shared with Marie Claire recently.
“He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up,” she said. “It’s the first time I’m with someone and I’m not explaining things. He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don’t always get.”
The news arrives just a day after Lauren’s ex-boyfriend and “Laguna Beach” co-star/plotline Jason Wahler’s wedding in Malibu to Ashley Slack this past Saturday.
