Harvey Weinstein shared an interesting behind-the-scenes revelation at the screening of the 12.12.12. concert documentary last night.
According to the Huffington Post, he gave an anecdote at the Toronto International Film Festival’s post-screening Q&A about basically selling off 15 minutes of Kristen Stewart’s time to entertain an unnamed “Prince of an Arabian country” for—get this—$500,000!
Because the proposition was part of an effort to raise funds for Harvey’s Hurricane Sandy benefit concert, Kristen went with it.
“She said, ‘How much?’” Harvey said, quipping, “My kind of girl.”
Apparently the prince paid upfront in cash
just so he could be in Kristen’s company for a mere quarter-of-an-hour
with bodyguards present during the concert. It was an incredibly awkward
situation all brokered by Harvey, the ringmaster of the charity
concert, which went on to raise $30 million.
