about Selma’s exit, claiming she was fired because Charlie’s character
needed a breakup to make the show more interesting.
Well, it turns out that’s just a perfectly neat PR answer and the truth is that they were hooking up in real life.
“Charlie and Selma's relationship was more than just co-stars. He slept with her after her breakup in 2012. That caused things to get bad,” a source close to Charlie tellsCt9.
So yeah, Charlie and Selma’s on-screen characters had a breakup, but it was their real-life affair that was calling all the shots.
