Lil Wayne is about to have a big wedding with his girlfriend of two years Dhea Sodano, unless we just misunderstood the rapper's latest statement about the two of them.
They're engaged.
He didn't come right out and straight up announce he was getting married; something that orchestrated would be out of character for the unpredictable rapper (also it's kind of difficult to clearly make out his pronunciation between all the Auto-Tune and sizzurp).
Instead this is a report inferred from a comment he made in a trailer for Vinny Guadagnino's new MTV program "The Show With Vinny" featuring a sound bite where Lil Wayne says, "My fiancé is Italian."
Wayne throws around a lot of words with his rap lyrics, so we're pretty sure he has a decent grasp of the English language. You don't call someone your "fiancé" when "girlfriend" would suffice.
However, where Lil Wayne is concerned, who knows if he's serious. He's joked about love and engagements before. On Valentine's Day 2012, he tweeted, "She said yes!" then clarified, "Ohhhhhhh now I see why! I meant "she said yes" to being my valentine!!! Hahahahahahaha! Y'all krazy [sic]."
Let's see if he clarifies his latest statement today.
