Robert Pattinson has been in NY for nearly a week without his girlfriend Kristen Stewart and had he stayed there a day longer without her, we would start prepping the “KStew and RPatz breakup” story.
But alas, where there’s a Twihard there’s a way. Rob and Kristen were reunited late last night in NY after Kristen attended the Met Costume Ball.
Everyone (ok, a select group of bloggers and Twilight fans) was expecting Rob to join Kristen on the carpet as her official date, instead Kristen attended as the guest of designer Stella McCartney and (strangely enough) Cameron Diaz.
Yeah, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Stewart and Stella McCartney were each other’s dates for the night, despite the fact that Rob was just lolling around NYC probably doing nothing.
After the red carpet, Kristen didn’t head inside for the actual Gala. Instead she left early with Rob’s BFF Tom Sturridge and his baby mama Sienna Miller, so they could meet up with Rob.
Later, this fan snapped all three out to dinner alongside Kristen’s other pal Dakota Fanning, who was also at the Met Ball. Maybe our Twihard stalking skills aren’t as fine-tuned as they aught to be, but we don’t see Rob and Kristen in this photo at all. We can make out Dakota on the left, this blonde woman texting in the middle is supposedly Kristen’s rep and the blur on the far right is supposedly Rob.
During interviews on the red carpet, Kristen told everyone that she wasn’t sticking around in NY because she had to get on an “early flight.”
We’re assuming she was lying so she could sneak out and meet up with Rob. C’mon, Kristen hates red carpet events…why would she fly out to NY for a few hours to wear a red jumpsuit and make pouty faces at the cameras?
