Jessica Simpson Selling Post-Divorce House For $8 Million

Right after Jessica Simpson announced her divorce from Nick Lachey, she ran out and bought a $5.27 million home. That was in 2005. Fast forward nearly 8 years, one fiancé and two kids later, and Jess is ready to dump the home for the low-low price of $8 million.

 

Jessica has already bought a new mansion in Hidden Hills (from the Osbournes) but her old place was pretty damn nice too.
The place is covered in ivy, like straight out of “Little Women,” or something. Apparently the home was meant to look like an estate in the Hamptons.

We could do without Jess’s décor, however. Most of the couches are covered in ill-fitting slipcovers and other feminine flare.
The kitchen, however, is state-of-the-art with enough counter space to film a cooking series.
Maxwell’s nursery is pink and white and the walls are covered in floral/pastel wallpaper. Apparently they are trying to subliminally influence her career goals, because there are ballet shoes hanging off the side of her crib.

There’s a lap pool buried in the back of the secret garden-style backyard.
The whole house just screams TEA PARTY! HAVE A TEA PARTY HERE! It’s very quaint and not what we expected from Jess at all. Especially for someone who makes billions of dollars off her “home décor” line…her own home style isn’t exactly life-changing.
