If you’re looking for a strung out Britney Spears stumbling all over the steps of Planet Hollywood, then try elsewhere because there’s nothing to see here.
According to Fox News, the pop singer is caving under the pressure of headlining her own Las Vegas residency. There are a lot of bells, whistles and pulleys that factor into a major show (just ask Celine Dion, Cher and Bette Midler), but apparently it’s all just too much for the entertainer.
“There is little chance that she can actually
do this,” a source said to FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “The stress of a
daily public appearance and the physical nature of a show could
overwhelm her for sure. As the show comes closer, she may start to fall
apart. It’s definitely a concern.”
There’s no doubt that Britney needs to be in peak condition, both physically and mentally, for her to pull off this high-profile venture. Naturally, because of her breakdown in the mid-aughts, those involved with the project (rumored to be set at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino) are being extra cautious.
However, she appears to have cleaned up her act and those close to her are saying there’s nothing to worry about.
A source told CT9 that this report is nothing more than “a pathetic attempt at creating a ‘story’ for an upcoming slow news holiday weekend.”
That’s music to our ears. We actually want to relax this Memorial Day and not have to worry about Britney crushing our dreams of failing to deliver on stage.
