Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to rehab and neither is her father Michael Lohan.
It's possible that Lindsay's troubled path could follow, very closely, in her dad's footsteps.
It’s believed that Lindsay will be checking into the Seafield Center at Westhampton Beach in New York. This is the same center that her dad attended in 1989.
The problem is that it didn’t seem to work for Michael. He “fell off the wagon,” TMZ reports, not long after.
Michael has been in touch with Lindsay and has even spoken to her management, he says, following her sentencing to 90 days of court-ordered rehab.
In an attempt to retain a protective arm around his daughter, he believes he’s found the perfect rehab alternative for her.
“Hopefully it is the Lukens Institute in Palm Beach,” says Michael to Hollyscoop.
Michael and Lindsay didn’t discuss whether she’s feeling nervous about checking in or undergoing treatment in two days.
While they’re “not coming together” as much as he would like, the family’s priority is for Lindsay to get better.
“We will all have to be on board and that’s on Dina,” Michael adds. “She is and has been the only wedge,” he says, meaning that part of Lindsay’s treatment is family therapy, which both he and Dina would have to agree to.
If history repeats itself, we won’t know where Lindsay will end up for the next three months until the final second.
“She’s a drama queen. She feeds off this last-minute frenzy,” a source told Page Six. “She’ll probably go to rehab on Wednesday night, so she can avoid coming to court. She likes to wait until the 11th hour, or even the 12th hour.”
The clock continues ticking. Lindsay’s rehab begins in two days.
Lindsay is also in talks with Celebuzz to maintain a blog this August documenting her stay in rehab…whichever facility it turns out to be.
