Could 'Buckwild' Filming Have Saved Shain Gandee?

“Buckwild” star Shain Gandee was found dead yesterday in his car after a confirmed carbon monoxide poisoning.
Now, the Mayor of Charleston, West Virginia is slamming MTV, the show's creator and somehow insinuating that the show is to blame for his death.
But we wonder, if Shain was filming “Buckwild” at the time of his death, could the reality TV cameras have saved Shain Gandee?
If he WAS filming for the show, he would be constantly trailed by a production crew. Heck, the production would probably schedule his days for him. If he was going off-roading, he wouldn’t have snuck off to do it, MTV would have been with him, filming everything. His car might not have gotten stuck, he wouldn’t be missing, someone could have gone for help.

Mayor Danny Jones says, “Of the few cast members on the show already two have had legal issues and now one has died. The show only enhances the negative stereotype the Kanawha Valley already has. I hope the show’s life is short.”
In light of Shain’s passing, MTV has suspended production of “Buckwild” indefinitely.
However, we still think that in this instance, reality TV for the first time ever, could have saved a life.
Sure, “Buckwild” showcases twentysomethings rolling down a hill inside tractor tires or jumping into tainted pools of water, but none of that hurt anybody.
