Stevie Nicks "Would Have Strangled" Nicki Minaj Over Mariah Carey Rant

Now it’s Nicks vs. Nicki.

The iconic Fleetwood Mac singer is taking a break from...what is she doing these days?... to throw her thoughts, talons, and talismans into the “American Idol” ring, weighing in on the feud/PR coordinated ratings boost that is Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

In an interview with the Daily, Stevie said:

“How dare this little girl!...If I had been Mariah, I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there…I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it.”

It’s moments like these where you curse, A) “American Idol” for not hiring Stevie Nicks as a judge and B) MTV for cancelling “Celebrity Deathmatch.”

See, Mariah’s style is to hire on more security and squeal to “The View” journalist Barbara Walters through second-hand gossip, but in Stevie’s days, you just straight up killed a b*tch and suffered the deserved prison sentence as determined by a jury of your peers. Simpler times.

Personally, I don’t know what possessed a legend like Stevie to even care about this fight in the first place (Klonopin), but as a mentor on its most recent season, the spectacle of “American Idol” isn’t something that’s beneath her career.

She even admitted that if shows like “AI,” “X Factor,” or “The Voice” were around back in the ‘70s, she would’ve “Wild Heart”-ed it up for a trio of judges to give her career a kick start, so no shame in playing the game.
