The director confirmed the news while talking to a leading daily, "We know that Nayan is one of the most glamorous actresses in Kollywood. For a change, she portrays a typical girl-nextdoor, which gives her more scope to exhibit her acting prowess. She will not be seen in a glamorous look even for the songs in this flick. It will be an absolute de-glam role for Nayan."
He added more on his film, "She's playing the role of Pavithra, a middle-class working girl from Coimbatore, who meets Kathirvelan and falls in love. The story is set in Coimbatore. After shooting in Chennai, we are moving on to Coimbatore for our next schedule."
Nayan who earlier went de-glam for her role of Seetha in Sri Rama Rajyam, which helped her win the Filmfare Award for Best Actress and Telugu Nandi Award for Best Actress, has several other big releases on her cards including Valai along with Ajith Kumar.
