The “Heartbreaker” singer could be facing arrest charges after he was caught illegally spray painting a mural in the South American country. In Brazil, the sentence for graffiti runs between three months and a year.
Reportedly, police officers visited the mansion Bieber was renting in Rio de Janeiro to question the pop star after photographs were published of him defacing the side of a multi-million dollar hotel on Tuesday morning.
Civil police chief Antonio Ricardo tried to track down the 19-year-old to further investigate, but Bieber had already left the country, which means that the next time he’s in Brazil he could be arrested.
Guess there won’t be any Brazilian stops on his next world tour.
UPDATE: Sources close to Bieber say he had no idea that what he was doing was illegal. He claims the locals told him he could spray paint there and that it was fine.
