Even Miley Cyrus’ parents approve of her twerk-nasty evolution; her dad called her a true artist and, using one of Miley’s favorite phrases, said she is on a “whole new level.”
Billy Ray went on Piers Morgan's show to talk about supporting her twerking and why Miley is brilliant.
“Miley’s
smart enough to know that to come out of the shadows of ‘Hannah
Montana,’ it really takes something extremely drastic, which when you go
to that level, it creates passion, and passion is either love or hate.
But there’s no middle of the road for passion.”
Billy was honestly just blabbing nonsense to avoid answering Piers' original question, which was: “As a father, I wouldn’t be pleased if my own daughter ‘turned to twerking,’ how are you dealing with this?”
Billy responded, “It gets even stranger when that little girl becomes a young lady. The shock factor is tremendously higher than it used to be.”
“Miley harnessed into something very special. She’s just Miley. She’s an artist, she’s real. I think that’s what’s happened over the years, Miley has been reinventing her sound. She’s evolving as an artist herself. I think that it’s all of what everyone is calling controversy now. That’s still my Miley.”
We think the message we should all take home from this is that, “She’s just being Miley.”
