Britney Spears to Lip-Sync Her Way Through Vegas?

Multiple sources are sounding off to the New York Daily News about Britney Spears’ forthcoming Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood—mainly that she won’t be giving audiences a live show.
“Britney does not sing,” one source told the paper. “She is being paid a lot of money to lip-sync. Her fans are none the wiser, but it is disingenuous of her to take their cash and not deliver a proper performance.”
Britney is set to perform more than 90 minutes worth of her most popular songs—if you consider faux-singing over pre-recorded tracks to be “performing,” so says a second source.
“She hasn’t sung live for a couple of years,” another source told NYDN. “If the crowd thinks they are being cheated, then there is likely to be an uproar, but then again look at the success of Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson shows. The performers in that product don’t sing live, and it has been a runaway success.”
However, according to those close to the production, it’s all made-up, fabricated white noise.
“Britney will be singing,” Britney’s rep Jeff Raymond told CT9. “As stated before, she is in vocal training.”
The pop star has been pouring all her energy into prepping for the two-year gig. “She has been [training] for months and has been working with a choreographer for her Vegas show. Her new album, which is out on December third will also represent this.”
“Any source to the contrary holds zero truth,” he added.
