Drake Bell: Amanda Bynes is Brilliant and Healthy

So it’s not the Drake that Amanda is clearly obsessed with on Twitter, but the Drake Bell of that reality show "Splash" that not even your mom watches and she watches everything.
Amanda’s former co-star says that they speak daily and there’s really no cause for concern.

“I talk to her every day. She’s a sweetheart,” Drake told OK! magazine. “I had lunch with her yesterday and she’s brilliant. She's good, and she’s healthy.”
According to Drake, there’s nothing really out of the ordinary here. Amanda, who retired from the Hollywood scene following a DUI arrest last year, is no different than any other twentysomething trying to find their way in the world.
“She’s in a place right now where she is searching,” Drake explained of Amanda’s headlines-snatching antics. “She’s ready to be her own person and do her own thing. She’s experiencing life for real, without the spotlight, for the first time. She is a girl who is finding herself.”
“She’s the same beautiful, funny, artistic, thoughtful person that she’s always been,” Drake insisted, saying all that’s really changed about her is her hairstyle.
“Anytime I’ve ever been with Amanda, she’s totally coherent, totally there, totally everything,” he said, calling her the closest thing to comedy legend Carol Burnett our generation has ever seen. “She’s brilliant, she’s a genius, she’s funny as hell.”
