How Prince William Is Preparing for Fatherhood

Kate Middleton has had to make so many sacrifices during this whole pregnancy ordeal. Her privacy. Her Jenny Packham wardrobe. Her favorite English wine.

As the pregnancy enters its third trimester, Prince William is also making his fair share of sacrifices. A source close to People tells the magazine how he's preparing for fatherhood in Kate's sixth month—a big transition.

It's reported that very soon the Prince will give his "two weeks notice" so to speak and step down from his post at the Royal Air Force, ejecting himself from the RAF Valley search-and-rescue helicopter unit located in Anglesey, Wales.

Basically, he's up and quitting his only real job. Punching in his timecard one last time. Trading in his parachutes for pacifiers.

What will this poor baby do without a working father to support it and its unemployed mom?

We're really worried about it over here, but the royal couple seem to think they'll do just fine.

"He's ready for the next step," says People's source.

"They've always been close but it's been much more pronounced since she has become pregnant," said Judy Wade, a royals author. While working at the RAF he's been away from Kate for up to ten 24-hour shifts each month.

Prince William is also preparing for the new addition by working on a new estate home with intense high-security renovations. Commoners just have to worry about baby-proofing all the electric outlets in all the rooms, but when you're a royal you need a separate house to store a police force...and then baby-proof all its electric outlets. Stress!
