Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane's Secret Date

Is this a joke? Or is it for real? It's hard to tell with anything Seth MacFarlane's involved in—films, TV, the Oscars, dating. The funnyman was seen leaving Matsuhisa in West Hollywood last night with none other than Charlize Theron.

They're about to start production together on his comedy-western, A Million Ways To Die In The West, but in this scenario we can only think of One Single Way To Date In LA and that's sushi, obviously.

Charlize is currently single and Seth recently split from "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke.

Walking slightly ahead of Seth, it appeared that Charlize was trying to keep her distance from whatever rumors that could arise from this encounter, particularly blog posts like this one.


Seth, on the other hand, walked with a smirk he couldn't wipe off. If we were professional guessers (which we are because, hello, gossip blog, nice to meet you) this just looks like Seth laughing off the rumors walking next to any actress in Hollywood creates. According to an E! source, Charlize "is not [Seth's] type," which reads something like a trick question since we thought Charlize was everyone's type. "They are just friends," the source concludes.

He's said before he isn't into dating in this city because it too often gets blown out of proportion. "It's a pain…because if you date, at a certain point you're in a relationship and at a certain point you're playing the field."

"It becomes this thing of trying to find places where you can have some privacy, where you're not going to be accosted by people and suddenly linked to someone as if you're in a serious relationship."

Sushi never hurt anyone. Unless you're a celebrity getting it in LA.
